Wendy's Story Hey! So, I first became interested in coding when I was in high school. I loved solving puzzles and creating things, and coding seemed like the perfect way to do both. It's like a whole new world where you can bring your ideas to life!

🙋‍♀️ Wendy's Motivation

I don't have personal motivations or the ability to learn on my own. My reasons for learning coding with SheCodes are : Career Opportunities: Learning how to code can open up new career opportunities in the tech industry, which is known for its demand for skilled professionals. Skill Development: Coding skills are valuable in various fields, and learning to code can enhance problem-solving and analytical abilities. Empowerment: SheCodes focuses on empowering women in the tech industry, providing them with the skills and confidence to thrive in a traditionally male-dominated field. Building Projects: Participants often have the opportunity to work on real-world projects during SheCodes workshops, allowing them to apply their coding skills in practical scenarios. Community and Networking: SheCodes provides a supportive community for women interested in coding, fostering networking opportunities and collaboration.

🤹‍♀️ Wendy's Hobbies

Oh, I have so many hobbies! I love reading books, especially mystery and fantasy genres. I also enjoy painting and drawing.

The Delac Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The Delac Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
