Urvashi's Story My interest in coding began with my passion for solving real-world problems using technology. One of my defining moments was participating in a tech expo organized by GLA University, where my team won first prize for our IoT-based project, SARV. That experience made me realize the power of technology in creating impactful solutions. Since then, I have explored various aspects of coding, including IoT, AI, and software development, and even worked on projects addressing rural challenges, such as improving access to veterinary care through IoT solutions. Additionally, my participation in a solo hackathon, where I developed an AI-based transcription and translation model, further deepened my interest in coding and its potential to bridge gaps in society. I see coding as more than just writing lines of code—it’s a tool that enables me to innovate, build meaningful projects, and work toward my dream of becoming an entrepreneur. Learning to code with SheCodes will help me refine my skills and turn my ideas into reality.

Building prototypes and experimenting with new ideas is something I find both fun and rewarding. Beyond tech, I like participating in competitions and hackathons—they challenge me to think creatively and push my limits. Winning the GLA University Tech Expo and competing solo in a hackathon were thrilling experiences that fueled my passion for problem-solving. I also enjoy exploring solutions for real-world challenges, such as air pollution management and rural development. Researching and brainstorming new ways to address these issues keeps me engaged. Outside of tech, I love the thrill of competitive sports—I’ve even won a tug-of-war competition! It’s a great way to stay active and build teamwork skills. Overall, I like to combine learning with fun, whether it’s through tech, challenges, or exploring ways to make a difference.
