Unnati's Story It honestly started with curiosity — that itch in my brain like, "How does this app even work?" or "What’s going on behind this button I just clicked?" I wasn’t content just being a user. I wanted to understand the logic, the magic, the messy backend that makes everything tick. And slowly, it turned into fascination. The first time I saw my own code come to life on a webpage? Literal goosebumps. It felt like I had just unlocked a secret language — one that could build, solve, create, and empower. That thrill hasn’t left since. I didn’t grow up dreaming of being a coder — but now I can’t imagine a future without it. Because for me, coding isn’t just about tech. It’s about storytelling, problem-solving, and making space for women like me to redefine the rules.

🙋‍♀️ Unnati's Motivation

For me, coding isn’t just lines on a screen — it’s power, it’s creativity, and honestly, it’s a way to take up space in a world that hasn’t always made room for women in tech. I’m learning to code with SheCodes because I want to build things — not just use them. I want to create websites that feel intuitive, apps that make people’s lives easier, and digital spaces that are inclusive and empowering. Tech is shaping the future, and I want my voice, my ideas, and my perspective as a woman to be a part of that evolution. Also, I love how SheCodes is not just teaching code but also nurturing a community where women uplift each other. It’s not just a course — it’s a revolution with glitter and GitHub.

🤹‍♀️ Unnati's Hobbies

When I’m not deep-diving into code or design, I’m all about exploring my creative side. I love curating aesthetic digital spaces — whether it’s building a clean UI in Figma or obsessing over the perfect color palette that says “soft but bold.” I’m also a total music-with-headphones-on, world-off kind of girl — playlists are my love language. I journal a lot too; it keeps me grounded when the world feels chaotic. And okay, not gonna lie — I can spend hours going down a Pinterest rabbit hole or bingeing documentaries that make me question the entire universe (hello, late-night overthinking!). But honestly, anything that lets me create, learn, or just vibe out — I’m in. Whether it’s a quiet sketch session, deep convos with my besties, or experimenting with a new tech stack, I live for that mix of chill and challenge.

The Delac Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The Delac Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
