Tracy's Story I first became interested in coding after a friend introduced me to it and showed me how powerful technology can be in solving real world problems. Watching them create websites and digital tools sparked my curiosity about how everything works behind the scenes. The idea that you can bring ideas to life and build something from scratch using just code really inspired me. I became fascinated by how creativity and logic come together in coding, and I knew I wanted to explore it further and develop the skills to create my own meaningful projects.

🙋‍♀️ Tracy's Motivation

My main motivation for learning how to code with SheCodes is to gain practical digital skills that will open new career opportunities and allow me to make a positive impact through technology. Coming from a background in nutrition and health, I’ve seen how digital tools can transform how we share information, track progress, and support people in improving their well-being. Learning to code will help me combine my passion for health with technology — whether it’s developing user-friendly wellness platforms, creating data-driven nutrition tools, or simply understanding how tech solutions are built. I’m drawn to SheCodes because it offers a supportive learning environment for women and focuses on empowering beginners to build real projects and grow confidently in the tech space.

🤹‍♀️ Tracy's Hobbies

In my free time, I enjoy activities that allow me to learn, create, and grow. I have a strong interest in nutrition and healthy living, so I often spend time exploring new recipes, reading about wellness, and staying updated on ways to promote a balanced lifestyle. I also enjoy reading books on personal development and technology, as well as engaging in creative projects or journaling to reflect and stay organized. These hobbies keep me inspired, disciplined, and open to continuous learning qualities, I believe will also support me as I develop my coding skills.

The Delac Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The Delac Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
