Thubelihle's Story I first became interested in coding when I realized how much of our everyday lives are influenced by technology—from the apps we use to stay connected to the websites we visit for information and shopping. At first, I was just curious about how these tools were built. I began reading about coding and watching beginner tutorials online, and the logic behind it really fascinated me. It felt like solving puzzles, and I enjoyed the challenge of breaking down a problem and figuring out how to create a solution from scratch. What really sparked my deeper interest was seeing people—especially women—build entire projects and careers from coding, often starting with no prior experience. That made it feel more accessible and inspired me to explore it seriously. I wanted to be able to bring my own ideas to life, automate everyday tasks, and potentially build a career that allowed for creativity, flexibility, and continuous learning. That’s what led me to SheCodes.

🙋‍♀️ Thubelihle's Motivation

My motivation for learning how to code with SheCodes stems from a deep desire to build a more flexible, fulfilling, and future-proof career. Technology is shaping every aspect of our lives, and I want to be an active participant in that transformation rather than a passive observer. Coding has always fascinated me—the idea of creating something functional and beautiful from scratch is empowering. However, I wasn’t sure where to begin until I discovered SheCodes. SheCodes stands out to me because it provides a supportive, beginner-friendly environment specifically designed for women. I’m inspired by its mission to close the gender gap in tech, and I want to be part of that change. Learning to code will not only open up new career opportunities but also enhance my problem-solving skills, creativity, and confidence. Whether I pursue web development, data science, or UX design, having a strong coding foundation will be invaluable. Ultimately, I’m motivated by the chance to challenge myself, gain new skills, and connect with a global community of women who are rewriting their futures—just like I hope to do.

🤹‍♀️ Thubelihle's Hobbies

In my free time, I enjoy a mix of creative and relaxing activities. I love reading—especially fiction and personal development books—because it helps me unwind and gain new perspectives. I also enjoy spending time outdoors, whether that’s going for walks, hiking, or just being in nature to recharge. Music is another big part of my life; I like discovering new artists and sometimes even try to learn songs on the guitar or piano.
