Tapiwa's Story Four years ago, my interest in coding sparked while exploring graphic design. This passion grew during my exploration of different easy to use graphic design apps like Canva. This journey has not only ignited my interest in coding but has also given me a clear direction and purpose in my pursuits.

🙋‍♀️ Tapiwa's Motivation

Shecodes actively targets the gender gap in computing and provides a welcoming environment that encourages women to grow, which is why I am drawn to it. In addition to promoting learning, the community element offers networking opportunities—a critical skill in the tech sector. In order to better equip myself for the ever-changing difficulties of the modern workforce, I'm especially looking forward to learning languages like Java and acquiring practical experience. This programme is a wonderful fit for my aspirations of becoming a young woman who is passionate about learning and innovation and breaking into the IT industry by gaining real-world experience.

🤹‍♀️ Tapiwa's Hobbies

I like to read fictional books, bake, colour, watch movies.

The Delac Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The Delac Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
