Sphephelo's Story I first become interested in coding in 2022. A friend of mine who is a Software developer told me about it and I developed an interest. I developed an interest in learning programming languages too. I just love how you create something from scratch with coding, solve problems , use logical thinking and learn something new because the field of coding is constantly evolving.

🙋‍♀️ Sphephelo's Motivation

I joined the free 60 minutes class and became interested in learning how to code at shecodes. I read inspiring stories on how shecodes has helped women all over the world to learn how to code. Matt also explained how they’re less women in coding and I want to be part of the women who are putting themselves out there, engaging in technology.

🤹‍♀️ Sphephelo's Hobbies

What I like to do for fun is learning new things. I’m a curious person and I believe I can learn anything in this world. I like learning a new skill, new words, the things happening around the world. I like playing video games, reading, watching movies/shows, watching football.

The Delac Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The Delac Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
