sonia's Story I first became interested in coding when I saw how technology could solve real-life problems. One day, I was using a simple mobile app to track my study schedule, and I started wondering how these apps are created. That curiosity led me to search online about web and app development. The idea that someone, somewhere, wrote code to make that tool work really fascinated me. Later, I watched a short video about women in tech and how they use coding to build websites, start businesses, and even help their communities. This inspired me deeply, especially because I live in a place where girls often don’t get many chances to explore technology. I realized that learning to code could give me the power to not just consume technology, but to create it. I also love solving problems and thinking creatively, and coding feels like a perfect match for my personality. I started experimenting with basic HTML and CSS tutorials and felt proud of my progress, even with small projects. That moment of “I built this myself!” sparked a passion that keeps growing. Now, I’m motivated to keep learning and eventually become a skilled developer who helps others to.

🙋‍♀️ sonia's Motivation

My motivation for learning how to code with SheCodes comes from a deep desire to become a part of the growing technology industry and to create solutions that can positively impact my community. I believe that coding is not just a technical skill, but a creative and empowering tool that allows individuals—especially women—to innovate, solve problems, and build the future. As a woman from a background where tech opportunities are limited, I’ve always dreamed of gaining the skills that can help me break those barriers. SheCodes provides a safe and supportive environment where I can learn at my own pace, gain confidence, and become part of a global network of women coders. I’m excited to explore web development, design, and programming so I can eventually create websites and apps that are useful and meaningful. Furthermore, I see coding as a way to achieve economic independence and contribute to larger tech projects in my country. By learning with SheCodes, I hope to inspire other girls around me and encourage them to believe in their potential. This is more than just a course for me—it's a first step toward a better future.

🤹‍♀️ sonia's Hobbies

In my free time, I enjoy a variety of hobbies that help me relax, learn, and stay creative. One of my favorite hobbies is reading. I enjoy reading both fiction and non-fiction, especially stories that teach life lessons or inspire personal growth. Books allow me to travel to different places and learn new things without leaving my room. I also love writing. Whether it’s journaling about my day, writing short poems, or creating small stories, writing helps me express my thoughts and emotions. Sometimes I even write in both my native language and in English to improve my language skills. Another hobby I enjoy is listening to music. Music helps me concentrate, lifts my mood, and makes me feel connected to the world. When I’m stressed, soft or inspirational music brings me peace. Recently, I’ve also started exploring some beginner-level graphic design and basic web editing, just for fun. I enjoy creating simple digital posters or playing with website templates. It’s exciting and helps me learn more about technology.
