Shambhavi's Story I first became interested in coding during my first year of university when I joined a student club that was building a website for a social impact project. At the time, I had no experience, but I offered to help with content. One evening, I stayed late with a few seniors who were coding the backend, and I watched them bring static pages to life—adding interactive forms, linking databases, and deploying real-time updates. It felt like magic. I asked a ton of questions, and one of them showed me how to make a simple button work using JavaScript. That tiny moment—seeing something I wrote actually do something—sparked a curiosity that’s grown ever since. It made me realize that coding is more than just technical work—it’s creative, impactful, and empowering.

🙋‍♀️ Shambhavi's Motivation

My motivation for learning how to code with SheCodes comes from my passion for technology and creativity. As an Electronics and Computer Engineering student, I'm constantly seeking opportunities to expand my skills, especially in areas like full stack development, machine learning, and product management. I love using social media to tell stories and connect with people, and coding gives me the power to create tools and platforms that can amplify these experiences. SheCodes feels like the perfect space to grow technically while being part of a community that empowers women in tech.

🤹‍♀️ Shambhavi's Hobbies

Some of my favorite hobbies include creating and curating content for social media, especially around art, poetry, and film—I run an Instagram page where I share thoughtful writeups and creative pieces. I also enjoy exploring new tech tools, learning about machine learning, and occasionally building small digital projects just for fun. Outside of tech, I love reading feminist literature, experimenting with photography, and finding quiet moments with music or journaling. I find joy in trying new things, whether it’s a new design style or a different way to tell a story online.
