Pratistha's Story During the Covid-19 lockdown, I joined a marketing company and meticulously learned copywriting. I grew to embrace difficulties and flourish in that role. As I was delving more into marketing, I discovered search engine marketing and search engine optimization. Somehow, out of pure curiosity, I ended up enrolling in a web development course where I learned the basic concepts of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I loved how challenged and happy I felt with this idea of problem-solving and innovation that come together while coding. Together with some of my friends I formed, the CS Association of Nepal, a student group where we conduct research and collaborate on projects to address real-world issues. I want to continue to make an impact no matter how big or small by enhancing my skill sets and advocating for STEM education.

🙋‍♀️ Pratistha's Motivation

The realization of the insidious and persistent gender biases in our society, as exemplified by the conversation between my grandparents and mother, where my grandparents were urging my mother to have another child, specifically a grandson, despite her Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD), fueled my fervor to effectuate meaningful change. I threw myself into advocacy and education, leveraging my participation in organizations to raise awareness about the critical importance of women's rights and to promote better health outcomes. My motivation for learning how to code is to contribute by creating and executing technology-based solutions to solve particular problems encountered by women. With a steadfast commitment to women's rights and a passion for technology, I am poised to leverage my expertise to create a more equitable and prosperous future for women in Nepal by learning how to code with SheCodes.

🤹‍♀️ Pratistha's Hobbies

I love reading and watching fiction because it allows me to immerse myself in different settings, times, and characters. I enjoy cooking and dancing.
