Nontokozo's Story It all started with my high school CAT teacher. He taught us about HTML in those 15 computers we had as a class of 76 in grade 10 till 12. Couldn't continue with it because of my background but my love never faded. I had to find something that was "acceptable" in my family's eyes. Years later, I started reviving my dream and here I am, claiming my life back and influencing whoever I can.

🙋‍♀️ Nontokozo's Motivation

I am one of the statistics of women who don't know how to code and what to close the gap and SheCodes shares the same sentiment as me. Again coding has been my hidden dream for long and I it's about time to live my dream. Working with special needs children has taught me to go beyond what the society has placed before you, so if the opportunity is given, I believe that it's about time to take it. This is not only for me but everyone around me including those with disabilities and showing them that, disabilities are actually abilities when you erase the prefix.

The Delac Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The Delac Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
