Nokwanda's Story I am passionate about education and expanding my knowledge. As the world is heading towards an industrial revolution. I want to better prepare myself to be employable in the future. I am looking for a career change, one that will challenge me that I can learn from and continually grow from.

🙋‍♀️ Nokwanda's Motivation

Learning to code is a new kind of literacy. Web development skills are transferable and applicable to every industry. Once you learn or at least understand, the fundamentals, you make yourself much more marketable in the employer hiring pool. These days, many tech companies are mindful of hiring females to increase diversity and gain new perspectives on their teams, I want to be one of the female employees in the tech industry. Shecodes is a community of women in technology and I would love the opportunity of working with other women, helping each other learn and grow together.

🤹‍♀️ Nokwanda's Hobbies

I love traveling, and I try to take a trip every season. Traveling allows me to adapt to new situations and use my organization and planning skills to ensure I have the most fun I can. I try to anticipate possible delays and other interruptions in my travel and always have a list of important contacts. Travelling can bring about many things for different people for me: it's challenging, educational and exciting.

The Delac Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The Delac Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
