Nhlanhla's Story I first became interested in coding when I realised how much of the world is built through technology — websites, apps, systems, and even the tools we use every day. At first, I didn’t understand how any of it worked, but that curiosity pushed me to start watching tutorials and experimenting with beginner-friendly platforms. The moment I wrote my first simple line of code and saw it actually do something, it clicked for me: coding is a skill that lets you create things from nothing. From there, I started exploring web development and basic cloud concepts, and I loved how logical and creative coding can be at the same time. Seeing people build careers and businesses through tech made me want to learn it properly. That’s what motivated me to take coding seriously and apply to SheCodes.

🤹‍♀️ Nhlanhla's Hobbies

Some of my hobbies include learning new tech skills, exploring online courses, and experimenting with small digital projects. I enjoy anything that lets me understand how things work, whether it’s troubleshooting, testing new tools, or trying out beginner coding challenges. Outside of tech, I like reading self-development books, watching documentaries, and listening to podcasts about careers, productivity, and emerging technologies. I also enjoy creative activities like designing simple graphics in Canva and organizing my study plans. For fun, I like taking walks, exploring new music, and spending time learning something new every day. I enjoy activities that help me grow, stay curious, and stay motivated.

The Delac Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The Delac Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
