Mivu's Story My interest in coding sparked during my time at a women’s workshop where women in different fields in the tech industry gave their success stories, and over the years, it has grown into a genuine fascination for creating innovative solutions. I was drawn more into coding and in my free time, I often explore coding tutorials on youtube to learn about it.

🙋‍♀️ Mivu's Motivation

My motivation for learning how to code with SheCodes stems from a deep-seated passion for technology that I've harbored since my secondary education, which I completed in 2012. Despite my desire to join the tech industry, financial constraints prevented me from pursuing college at the time. Recently, I stumbled upon SheCodes Foundation through a TikTok video featuring Tasha, a software developer. Witnessing her journey inspired me to seize this free opportunity to finally delve into coding, overcoming the obstacles that have hindered my progress thus far.

The Delac Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The Delac Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
