Mercy's Story I first became interested in coding when I realized how much technology shapes our everyday lives and how empowering it could be to understand what happens behind the scenes. My curiosity really grew when I tried customizing a blog or website for the first time—it was fascinating to see how a few lines of code could completely change how something looked or worked

🙋‍♀️ Mercy's Motivation

I’m drawn to the problem-solving nature of coding and the way it empowers people to build tools, websites, and solutions from scratch. SheCodes stood out to me because of its supportive community, practical approach to teaching, and its mission to help more women break into the tech industry.

🤹‍♀️ Mercy's Hobbies

In my free time, I love doing a mix of creative and relaxing activities. I enjoy reading—especially fiction and personal development books—as well as journaling and exploring new places when I get the chance. I also like spending time with friends and family, watching movies or cooking something new. Lately, I’ve gotten into learning new tech skills and playing around with beginner coding projects, which has become a fun and rewarding hobby too

The Delac Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The Delac Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
