🙋‍♀️ Melany's Motivation

The understanding that coding is becoming increasingly necessary in the developing world, especially when you’re the only woman on an all male team in a country where working in technology is already rare. I am part of the strategy and developing team of a project thats working on giving opportunities to people in Honduras to access technology and commercial solutions through blockchain by this improving their opportunities to connecting to the world. The intention is to create a commercial platform where informal side of commerce gets acces to give their service to people outside the country fasta and in a secure manner. The team is all male and we ship in our time and knowledge. I cover strategy, operations and admin, I can relate to people, understand their needs but when its developers talking, product development on the more technical side I get blindsided. It limits my participation in meetings and pitching in ideas on improvement but due to my position I manage all access to platforms like AWS which I dont even know where to start learning or what the potential of what things can be developed or even understanding timelines or prices. Learn to code is the perfect opportunity for me to get an insight and be able to understand and even give support to the team. Be able to get more in to technical aspects.
