May Mon's Story My interest in coding was gradual. After high school, I worked as a finance assistant, where my main scope of work revolved around accounting software. I also acted as the contact person for the agency, where I identified errors in the system and worked with their customer support team to solve them. I found the technology behind it interesting. Much later on, I came to work as a Marketing Associate at a start-up non-banking financial institution, where I had the opportunity to participate in a credit app project as one of the stakeholders. Although I was involved in the creative design part of the project, I learned a lot from my fellow project members as well as from communicating with the app developer team. This was sort of a turning point for me. I decided to pursue a career in Information Technology and coming across sheCodes I did not think twice before applying. I have no doubt this opportunity would help me gain experience and level up in my career.
