Maria's Story It started after realizing how websites are made and I became obsessed with the idea of learning HTML/CSS and programming languages like javascript and python to create apps and other things. I'm usually very curious about creativeness so I am really glad that I found something I'm very interested and motivated to do.

🙋‍♀️ Maria's Motivation

I want to rewrite my future, to have a shot at a better life, to learn new skills and to feel up to date and relevant. With this, I'm also looking forward to better job opportunities and, something I've always aimed to: be able to help my parents.

🤹‍♀️ Maria's Hobbies

I like movies and tv shows, fiction books, and honestly I spend a lot of time reading Wikipedia because I love to learn things. I also love music (from metal to k-pop) and taking walks. I'm a huge sports fan! I support my favorite soccer club in Ecuador but I also have a huge love for Seattle sports (Storm, Reign and Kraken mostly!), the internet is cool enough to allow me to watch them from a different country.

The Delac Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The Delac Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
