Louise's Story I use big data in my work as a scientist and i trained on point and click programmes to analyse the data. i have always wanted to transition to coding but never had an opportunity to do so. Whenever i have tried to use the command line (with suport) i have found it to be fun and engaging. i am an autistic person so i require bottom up learning which is different from top down learning of most people. This means a course like shecodes would suit me ideally.

🙋‍♀️ Louise's Motivation

I want to learn how to code because i need the skills in my role to analyse data, but not only that i would like to build things. Tools, websites and products but i don't know how. I like that she codes supports women as i am all about increasing women's visibility in STEM and i feel i could continue to build capacity in this way.

🤹‍♀️ Louise's Hobbies

I support vulnerable women and girls, and help them pay school fees. I volunteered teaching science in a secondary school in a township in Malawi. I also like thinking laterally and creating new ideas for products, writing a book and teaching my dogs tricks!

The Delac Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The Delac Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
