Lona's Story 've always been fascinated by how the apps and websites I use every day actually work. A friend who is a software developer introduced me to the basics, and I was immediately hooked by the logical yet creative process of building something from scratch. I started with some free online tutorials and enjoyed the challenge and the incredible feeling of getting my code to work, which solidified my interest in pursuing it further.

🙋‍♀️ Lona's Motivation

My primary motivation is to make a career change into the tech industry. I want to build a more fulfilling and financially stable future for myself by developing in-demand, future-proof skills. I see coding as a powerful tool for creativity and problem-solving, and I'm excited by the opportunity to build things that can have a real impact.

🤹‍♀️ Lona's Hobbies

Outside of my new interest in coding, I love reading, especially fiction and sci-fi. I'm also a bit of a puzzle enthusiast. I enjoy escape rooms, jigsaw puzzles, and complex board games. To balance that out, I love getting outdoors for hikes and exploring new trails.

The Delac Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The Delac Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
