LAYAUNG's Story As I previously stated, I spent the most of my time throughout the pandemic learning about IT fields. Then I discovered my interest in coding and began looking for opportunities to further my skills. And for walking down the path to the Bachelor’s degree in computer science, choosing majors, subjects of ICT in Rangsit University, I did not have a single hesitation and able to make decisions at once since I found my interest immediately right after the time spend seeking out the knowledges related to technologies. That is why I can guarantee that the relation between my interest, skills and the subjects I chose are perfectly matched and I also have a strong determination of studying through my academic journey with best efforts.

🙋‍♀️ LAYAUNG's Motivation

Without financial assistance, I can only imagine attending this $1549 coding programme. I am presently proceeding trough my academic year of ICT in Rangsit University, Thailand. In speaking about my education journey which let to this application, I initially have to describe about my education I passed along in Myanmar. First of all, I started my high school life at a school which is located in my childhood hometown, Thuwanna, where my whole family resided till, I completed my high school. The school is named B.E.H.S Thuwanna then, in 2018, I passed the matriculation exam from my high school with six distinctions and this prompted me to enroll as a medical student at the University of Medicine 2, Yangon. At that point of time, I couldn’t exactly figure out what I was interested in and I simply took my parents’ advice and enrolled in that medical university. I studied as the medical student for almost two years period and during the year, the Corona Virus broke out in the globe. Throughout the pandemic period, my Medical University was paused for a certain time of period and I had no idea how to carry on my education journey. Apart from the medical lectures, I started spending time on learning about IT fields and computer science during the break. Then, I found out my interest in computer science and starting to look out for any chances to study abroad but due to my family situation and finance, I had to choose to continue my academic path on the Rangsit University, Thailand. Now, I have finished first year in Rangsit and the reason of lacking in the finance to continue my education, I decided to temporarily take a break from school. I planned to undertake self-study while on leave, so I applied for this grant in sake of hoping to support my education journey.

In addition, I adore playing video games. I believe that online gaming allows me to be myself while also exploring diverse personalities from around the world. I adore playing video games and would like to turn my hobby into a career one day. In the future, I hope to work as a professional game developer, as video games have an ongoing development process.
