Kiara's Story I first heard about coding in 2018 from a Facebook ad. I didn't know anyone who coded so I researched and knew it was something that I really wanted to pursue. Growing up in the early 2000's as an only-child meant that google became my big sister for all of my questions, and I would love to create applications and websites that makes others feel like they have a big, supportive sister too.

🙋‍♀️ Kiara's Motivation

I'd like to use technology to help make the world a safer place for everyone, but especially for women and children. I want to build websites and applications that assist survivors in getting justice.

🤹‍♀️ Kiara's Hobbies

My creative hobbies are nail art as well as baking - my favourite decorating medium is fondant. My analytical or growth hobby is making spreadsheets that make certain tasks easier like shopping(I consider spreadsheets a hobby because who doesn't love making lists in their spare time!)

The Delac Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The Delac Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
