Joy's Story I firstly became interested in coding because I want to build a better future for myself and make my family proud. Coming from a background where opportunities aren’t always guaranteed, I feel a strong need to become something good and independent. I didn’t grow up around technology, but I’ve always been curious about how things work and wanted a skill that could truly change my life. When I discovered SheCodes, it gave me hope because they support women who are starting from zero and believe in giving everyone a fair chance. Seeing how many women have grown, succeeded, and gained confidence through SheCodes really inspired me. What they do for women, especially by making learning accessible and sometimes free, made me feel like this is a place where I can genuinely grow and succeed.

My motivation for learning how to code with SheCodes comes from how much they genuinely support and empower women in tech. I have no coding experience, but seeing how many women from around the world have started from zero and grown confident through SheCodes is really inspiring. They make coding feel approachable instead of intimidating, which is important to me as a beginner. I also admire how SheCodes actively works to reduce the gender gap in technology by creating a supportive community where women can learn together. What truly stands out to me is that they offer free opportunities for women who can’t afford to pay, making education accessible rather than exclusive. That shows they truly care about impact, not just profit. Learning with an organization that believes in women, provides real support, and has helped so many succeed motivates me to take my first steps into coding with confidence , I'm really grateful for this.

Joy's coding training
