Halemo's Story I first became interested in coding when I was around 15 years old. I was fascinated by how websites and apps worked and wanted to learn how to create them myself. Unfortunately, at the time I couldn’t afford to pursue coding or access the right learning resources, so that interest had to wait. As I grew older, that curiosity never left me, and now I’m motivated to finally learn how to code, build real skills, and turn a long-standing interest into something meaningful with the support of SheCodes.

🙋‍♀️ Halemo's Motivation

My motivation for learning how to code with SheCodes comes from my desire to challenge myself and grow beyond my comfort zone. I have always been curious about how websites and digital platforms work, and I want to move from just using technology to creating it. SheCodes stands out to me because it supports women in a practical and encouraging way, which gives me confidence as a beginner. Learning to code will help me build skills that can improve my future opportunities, allow me to bring my ideas to life, and empower me to be more independent and confident in a digital world.

🤹‍♀️ Halemo's Hobbies

n my free time, I enjoy learning new skills and finding ways to grow personally and creatively. I love cooking and baking, especially trying out new recipes. I also enjoy staying active by playing tennis with the local women’s community, which I find both fun and empowering. In addition, I volunteer at an orphanage, which is very meaningful to me and allows me to give back to my community. These activities help me relax, stay connected with others, and maintain a sense of purpose.

Halemo's coding training

Halemo has gained access to SheCodes Plus for at no cost. It’s a 4 month coding training that’ll take her from a beginner to a professional.

She'll learn popular technologies, from HTML, CSS, JavaScript and development tools. She'll also get to build her own online portfolio to showcase to potential employers!

1. Basics Coding Workshop (3 weeks)
2. Basics Add-on (1 week)
3. Plus Coding Workshop (8 weeks)
4. Plus Add-on (2 weeks)
She’ll gain access to each portion after finishing the preceding portion. She’ll build up her coding knowledge gradually along the way. 🙌
