Fatima's Story I am glad you asked! My passion for coding began when I witnessed the transformative power it has to bring ideas to life. It all started when I was amazed by a game my neighbor had built from scratch using code. I was captivated by the way he had created something that was not only functional but also visually stunning and fun to play. From that moment on, I was hooked. I wanted to learn everything I could about coding so that I too could bring my own ideas to life and create something that was not only useful but also beautiful and I believe that SheCodes Foundation would make that dream possible.

"Well, I guess you could say I'm a triple threat: I like reading books, eating snacks, and traveling to places where I can learn amazing facts. Maybe that's why they call me the SheCodes Africa Application's very own 'snackademic explorer'!"

The Delac Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The Delac Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
