Farzana's Story I first became interested in coding when I saw other girls from different countries working remotely and building their careers in tech. I was amazed by how coding gave them freedom, confidence, and the ability to create something meaningful. I realized that with the internet and the right guidance, I could also learn this powerful skill, even from Afghanistan. Since then, I've been passionate about joining a supportive community like SheCodes to take my first steps in the tech world.

🙋‍♀️ Farzana's Motivation

My biggest motivation for learning how to code with SheCodes is to improve my skills so I can find remote job opportunities and support myself and my family. Living in Afghanistan, especially as a woman, comes with many restrictions and limited access to quality education or job opportunities. By learning coding, I hope to become financially independent and inspire other Afghan girls to follow the same path. I believe coding can open doors to a better future despite the challenges we face in our country.

🤹‍♀️ Farzana's Hobbies

I enjoy reading books, drawing, learning new skills online, and spending time with my family. I also love writing and sometimes journal about my dreams and goals.

The Delac Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The Delac Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
