Carolina's Story My interest in coding started several years ago when I first heard about it from friends and through various organizations. At the time, it seemed like something only tech-savvy or exceptionally skilled people could do, and I didn't see it as an option for myself. However, as I learned more about the impact coding can have, I began to see it differently. I realized that coding isn’t just for people with a tech background; it’s a skill that anyone can learn with the right resources and determination. The idea of being able to code fascinated me because it felt like a powerful tool for personal development. Learning to code represents more than just acquiring a new skill for me. It’s about building my self-esteem and self-love by proving to myself that I can tackle something challenging and succeed. It also has the potential to improve my life significantly and allow me to support my family more effectively. Ultimately, my growing interest in coding is fueled by the belief that it can be a transformative experience, both professionally and personally. I’m excited about the possibility of using coding as a way to grow, gain confidence, and make a positive difference in my life and the lives of those I care about.

🤹‍♀️ Carolina's Hobbies

For fun, I really enjoy a mix of activities that keep me engaged and fulfilled. I love reading—there’s something special about getting lost in a good book and exploring different worlds through stories. Hanging out with my family is another big part of my life; spending time with them, especially with my baby nieces, brings me so much joy and makes me feel connected. I also enjoy trying out new activities whenever I can. Whether it’s a new hobby, a sport, or just exploring a new place, I find it exciting to step out of my comfort zone and experience new things. Lastly, I value my alone time as well. I need to recharge and reflect, so I make sure to carve out moments for myself amidst all the other activities.

The Delac Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The Delac Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
