Carey-Ann's Story I began the newsletter at my church, which sparked my interest in coding. I have always been told I have an eye for detail and design so combining all these things, it just felt right taking this step. This is something that I can do remotely, which will make it possible to still spend time and raise my daughters.

🙋‍♀️ Carey-Ann's Motivation

To improve my skills and provide a better life for my family, which will in turn help me empower my daughters to take that leap and learn coding from a young age, hoping I am able to teach them with the knowledge I will acquire. I have also seen many reviews about how helpful SheCodes has been in empowering women to take that step in tech and coding.

🤹‍♀️ Carey-Ann's Hobbies

My hobbies are spending time with my kids baking and being creative. but mainly spending time with my daughters. seeing them become their own little beings. seeing their personalities grow into who they are and reading, we love reading a good book together.

The Delac Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The Delac Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
