Bhavya's Story My interest in coding sparked during my first year at Banasthali Vidyapith when a senior from my branch, now working at Siemens, introduced me to programming through a college coding club. She shared how coding could complement my electronics background, enabling me to work on projects like IoT systems and embedded applications. Inspired by her passion and practical demos in C++, I started exploring programming to create tech solutions that could make a global impact. I began with C++ for Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA), guided by resources like GeeksforGeeks and Abdul Bari’s YouTube tutorials, and later picked up Python for its versatility in cybersecurity and IoT. Participating in SheCodes workshops further fueled my enthusiasm, offering hands-on projects and a supportive community. These learnings have built my confidence to pursue open-source contributions and certifications like CCNA, aiming to innovate in tech.

My hobbies reflect my curiosity and drive to blend creativity with technology. I love coding, especially in C++ and Python, as it lets me solve problems and build projects like IoT applications or small web apps, inspired by my coding club experiences and SheCodes workshops. Exploring cybersecurity through Forage simulations is another passion, as I enjoy learning how to secure systems and tackle real-world challenges. I’m also drawn to trekking and paragliding, sparked by a trip to Bir Billing, where the Himalayan vistas fueled my love for adventure and nature. On campus, I unwind by sketching circuits or brainstorming project ideas, merging my electronics background with tech. Contributing to open-source projects and mentoring peers in coding through Women in Tech keeps me engaged, as I aim to inspire and innovate in the tech world.

The Delac Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The Delac Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
