Beth's Story After completing the AI Career Essentials course with ALX Africa, I discovered a passion for tech. Through interacting with different AI tools and building simple websites using Notion, Canva, and Google Sites, I began exploring the possibilities of technology. I even designed a simple vacation app using AI prompts and Figma. Some of my peers were focused on back-end and front-end development, discussing concepts like GitHub and APIs, which I didn’t fully understand at first. After a conversation with one of them, who explained coding more deeply, my curiosity grew. I started looking up online for free coding lessons but realized I wanted something more community-driven, which led me to SheCodes. Now, I’m excited to dive deeper into coding and probably transition into a tech career.

The Delac Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
