Aysan's Story During high school years, I became interested in robotics and I participated in a national robocup competition with my friends in which we won the first place. Our project was a set of robots each having an specific role in cleaning the city which were controlled by a system as well as automating the bus and metro system. It was first there that I became acquainted with coding and how it could simplify things as well as making them interesting. Our project was part of a smart city idea which led me to pursuing a degree in architecture and urban planning.

🙋‍♀️ Aysan's Motivation

I have just finished my bachelor in architectural engineering which has led me to realize that learning to code is not only useful for CS graduates, but in today's world it is needed for all students no matter their field. Coding could open the door to new realms of design for me since it would have no boundaries unlike the apps that are currently being used for architectural design; I believe I could use my potential and my imagination to its fullest learning how to code.

🤹‍♀️ Aysan's Hobbies

I do photography and freelance projects to earn some money, and also help research some of ways to use coding in architecture, for instance digital design and fabrication, with some friends from university. I also like to dance and do yoga. I am also interested in taking self-portraits and editing them to improve my photography skills. I sometimes take free courses in UI/UX and python or grasshopper. I am close with my brother and we spend some of our time together doing fun activities.

The Delac Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The Delac Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
