Toyibat's Story It was in junior high school, and we had a teacher that used to teach us ‘Computer Studies’. One day in class, he talked about how a successful blogger in my country, Linda Ikeji, earns thanks to her blogging website even when she sleeps. He explained the importance of having tech skills and how revolutionary they can be in a person’s life. That ignited my passion for programming. I reached out to my teacher after class, and he began to teach me how to build a website with WordPress outside of classes. He had to leave the country, so our classes stopped, but they were enough to open my eyes to the opportunities that lay before me. We still keep in touch to date, and he’s been a huge source of motivation. With time, I also learnt about how technology can help make lives better. That’s one primary reason that led me to my course of study, the hope and knowledge that one day, I am able to build and create things that can help people.
