Thethiwe's Story My initial interest in coding stemmed from a desire to stop being a consumer of technology and start being a creator. However, my interest became a true passion while completing the SheCodes Basics course. The moment that solidified it for me was successfully building my very first landing page. I realized that applying simple HTML and CSS commands wasn't just technical work; it was a form of creative problem-solving where I could instantly see my ideas come to life. The whole experience of going from zero knowledge to having a functioning page was incredibly empowering. Now that I have the foundational understanding, I'm eager to continue my journey to learn JavaScript and build more complex, interactive applications

My motivation is driven by a desire to transition my career into the tech industry, specifically in web development. I've been seeking a path that offers strong growth potential and creative problem-solving. I chose SheCodes specifically because I value its supportive, women-focused environment and the hands-on, project-based learning model. I need a structured curriculum that goes beyond theoretical knowledge and results in a tangible portfolio. I believe the combination of practical skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and a strong community will give me the confidence and foundation needed to successfully launch a career as a junior developer.
