Rishita's Story Our curriculum had made learning Java fundamentals compulsory and in a huge class without proper guidance, it was difficult. I started watching YouTube videos to learn basic coding. After a while, I was able to write proper logical code which gave me immense confidence and I became more interested in coding. Using apps on phone and surfing websites fascinates me with the seamlessness and I want to be able to build something like that myself soon.

When I first heard of SheCodes, the name itself struck a sense of belonging to me. In a competitive field such as coding and IT, having a community which supports and encourages women to learn and excel in coding is what truly motivates me to be associated to SheCodes in some way. To begin with, learning from amazing mentors at SheCodes will surely help me expand my knowledge and build better projects. It will aid in getting a better job through which I can help provide for my family.

Apart from reading tech related blogs in my spare time, I enjoy reading books of various genres and learning to cook different cuisines. I like reading self-help books the most to increase my productivity. Going for long walks, listening to soothing music or playing with my niece is my idea of fun.
