Halyna's Story I have been working as an English language instructor for Ukrainian IT company and all my students are software developers. I thought 'why not to try and switch'. It is difficult to dare and switch at my age, we have a stereotype that this is a male career. Anyway I decided to try and started a course at Udemy -100 Days of Code:The Complete Python Pro Bootcamp for 2022. I started that in Ukraine before the war. My learning was interrupted but i really hope to finish this one. I am really good at acquiring new skills and knowledge and I believe I can succeed in this new field.

I am a mom of two and I really want to give my children the best life I can. I hope that IT world can give me so much desired stability and security regarding work as well as flexibility to combine career with family. I also hope that with new skills I can make a difference in the world and my country. The last events have shown that IT forces are as important as military ones, that it is another realm and I want to be an active part of it.

🤹‍♀️ Halyna's Hobbies

I am a long distance runner. I have been a member of my local running club for years now. I have done two full marathons, numerous half marathons, different trail running races and one ultra (64 km). I volunteer a lot for sport events and even organise some with my friends. I am a coorganizer of our local sport event SwimRunIF. Last year we had over 120 participants.
